In the Detailing DIY Area, “Autolackaffen”, together with renowned industry partners, are hosting workshops, PPF applications, competitions and hands-on experiences – and, for the first time, vehicle wrapping is on the programme. The absolute highlight is the 10th German Polishing Championship organised by the Federal Association for Vehicle Preparation and Detailing (BFA), which is taking place at Automechanika for the first time.
Classic Car Business: Know-how for the Classic Car Sector
Classic cars offer garages new business opportunities: in its own Classic Car Area in Hall 11.1, Automechanika 2026 will combine live restoration demonstrations, practical talks and networking. The focus will be on vehicle and parts data, spare parts supply, additive manufacturing, as well as knowledge transfer and securing a skilled workforce. The Classic Alliance brings workshops together with experts from industry, trade and associations. Anyone looking to expand their range of services relating to Young- and Oldtimers will find expertise, contacts and concrete ideas for the classic car business here.
Truck & Caravan in the Outdoor Area in front of Hall 9
Automated gearboxes, drive shafts and Euro VI requirements demand specialist expertise in commercial vehicle workshops. Short presentations and product demonstrations on the topic of trucks highlight the key considerations in diagnostics, repairs and sealing technology.
How are caravans and motorhomes repaired professionally? Concrete practical examples and live demonstrations will show you how to deal professionally with moisture damage, structured exterior walls, and bonding and paintwork – presented clearly and closely reflecting everyday workshop practice.
