Automechanika Frankfurt features new formats focusing on future trends, networking and the promotion of up-and-coming talent

Major trends like AI, e-mobility, digitalisation, sustainability and new mobility concepts are creating challenges for the automotive industry. Developments linked to connected cars and software defined vehicle are also setting the agenda for the automotive aftermarket. That is why this year’s Automechanika Frankfurt – from 8 to 12 September – features many networking opportunities for key market participants and new players alike. As the world’s leading trade fair for the automotive service industry, Automechanika puts the spotlight on new technologies and services for industry, workshops and retailers.

Future Within Reach: AMBITION brings industry associations and young talents together at Automechanika 2026

The award-winning format AMBITION, first introduced at Automechanika 2024, is entering its second round – bigger, more visible, and supported by a strong new network of partners. In 2026, the leading industry associations will also join the initiative and present their training and education programmes as part of AMBITION in the Festhalle. With this expanded concept and the new location, Automechanika Frankfurt 2026 is placing an even stronger emphasis on promoting young talents and shaping the future of automotive professions.

Messe Frankfurt continues to expand with three new events in the Automotive division

Automechanika, the leading international trade fair brand for products and solutions in the automotive, workshop and service areas, will now be held in two additional locations in future: Jakarta and Baku. Messe Frankfurt is also investing in a new Festival of Motoring. This event – popular with motor sport fans – has been taking place at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Johannesburg every year since 2016. From 2026, the event will also be happening in Sydney, Australia.

Automechanika and VDIK join forces: Road to Automechanika Frankfurt 2026

Automechanika Frankfurt, leading international trade fair for the automotive aftermarket, and the Association of International Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (VDIK) have agreed a new alliance to raise the profile of the branded aftermarket. Their goal is to promote dialogue between automotive manufacturers and suppliers as we approach the next Automechanika in Frankfurt in September 2026. This will be done via numerous special formats in which the industry’s key topics are communicated to a trade audience in the run-up to the trade fair. The themes will be explored from the perspectives of manufacturers, branded service providers and major retail groups.

Automechanika Frankfurt sees high level of demand and establishes the Classic Alliance

Automechanika’s new business network is the first targeted effort to link the automotive aftermarket with the classic car sector. The aim is to pool the classic expertise of exhibitors and to show the opportunities offered by this segment, particularly for workshop and trade. Automechanika’s initiative is being supported by the leading international association for classic cars, FIVA, and by its partners Bosch, DAT (Deutsche Automobil Treuhand), Eucon and ROWE.
