The reduction of nitrogen oxide emissions, typical of the turbodiesel engine in heavy duty and 
light vehicles is achie- ved through the SCR catalyst.

SCR is the acronym of "Selective Catalytic Reduction", a device that breaks down the oxides of 
nitrogen present in the exhaust gases in nitrogen and water. In the SCR catalyst this process 
reaches up to 80% of the nitrogen oxides found in the exhaust gases. It is currently a 
well-established technology and will play an important role in the future of transporta- tion for 
Trucks, Buses and LCVs.
The whole catalytic silencer and the external cannings are completely made in 304 stainless steels 
while the internal filters are in cordierite and external walls impregnated with valuable 
materials.

Thanks to cutting-edge technology and the collaboration with the C.N.R. (the National Research 
Centre) we have designed and patented a new "Green Power" filter.
It is a new filter that has cells with enhanced diameter that can ensure better performance to the 
truck in terms of back pressure and emissions.

The exhaust gas temperature sensor is a basic element of modern vehicles. Their function is 
essential as they are installed at different side of the exhaust system and signal the temperature 
to the control unit to monitor the regeneration of the particulate filter and reduce emissions.

The exhaust gas temperature sensor (EGTS) is usually connected directly to the engine control unit 
(ECU).
The temperature sensors are:

Differential pressure sensors have an important role because they are closely related to the 
correct operation of the particulate filter. This sensor measures the pressure inside the exhaust 
-, upstream and downstream of the DPF, detecting the "state of health" of the particulate filter. 
The pressure difference detected before and after the exhaust gas passage through the filter (hence 
the name differential pressure sensor) allows to measure how much the particulate filter is 
clogged.
