Making terry towels and bathrobes smart, we offer a new all-round service for textile rental companies and contract laundries providing them with unique advantages: The sewn-in RFID transponders are almost invisible, keeping our terry towelling products incredibly soft and durable. We also stock the transponders of the major tag manufacturers making the purchase process as simple as possible for our customers as they do not have to take care for an extra procurement of transponders!

Automation processes are clearly on their way mastering the laundry business. Companies are increasingly relying on radio frequency identification (RFID) to track their textiles contactlessly. This technology requires a receiver and data transponders attached to the textiles. As an all-round service we offer our customers to do the tag-"labelling" directly at our production site. All a laundry has to do is name the tag system he is using in his facility. The transponders are sewn into the bathrobes, hand towels, shower towels, guest towels and sauna towels and wash mitts making them ready for use directly after delivery, saving a laundry time and effort.

Manufactured to nominal size

From August 2024, we will also have a "smart" terry line in stock. “Comfort-Line” products in white colour will be fitted with transponders as standard. Additionally, every towel is manufactured in a correspondingly larger size to allow the cotton to shrink when washed and ensuring that it meets a laundry's demand for standard sizes after repeated industrial laundering. E.g. towels with a nominal size of 50 x 100 cm are manufactured in 50 cm width and 107 cm length.

Sewn into the hem

To fulfill our customers demand we stock RFID transponders of all major suppliers enabling us to immediately respond to a customer's requests. Tags are sewn into our terry products by using a special technique which make transponders disappear discreetly in the hem of a towel or a bathrobe retaining the ultimate quality which Floringo terry towelling are known for: An amazingly soft touch, an appealing look, longevity and durability in industrial laundering.

The properties of our soft qualities come into their own even at lower base weights, which is why even lightweight cotton bathrobes and towels offer a high degree of comfort. Durability is also guaranteed: as the soft yarns are bound into a stable base fabric, the terry qualities impress with low wear and high durability.

Resource-saving, economical and, if desired, climate-neutral

The immense performance of our terry products underpins a sustainability-oriented textile supply. Boil-wash resistant, suitable for chlorine and made up with double seams, the textiles survive countless processing cycles while in the laundry. The discard rate is low, resulting in low re-supply with all the economic and environmental benefits. Balanced cloth volume and weight optimizes the loading ratio of the laundry machines, which creates capacity and saves resources.

Our range of terry products for the hotel business immense, extending from guest and sauna towels to lounger pads in various weight classes and colours. Other articles include bath mats, bathrobes in various cuts and material blends, as well as blankets that provide cosy warmth in the outdoor spa, on the beach and on deck.

Floringo's Twin-Star bathrobe has numerous benefits in store for hotels and the textile rental industry. Thanks to a clever construction model featuring cotton on the inside and polyester on the outside, these popular bathrobes are economical to work with and comfortable to wear. A bi-colour look also ensures unchanging beautiful colours, which pays off with a particularly long service life for laundries and textile service providers.

In industrial laundering, washing bathrobes is one of the main energy consumers: cotton terry absorbs large amounts of moisture due to its loop structure, calling for a great deal of heat to be applied during drying. Our Twin-Star quality has enabled us to succeed in substantially reducing the required use of resources and energy costs in the drying process. This became possible due to the fibre mix of 60% polyester and 40% cotton and the construction model used: the outside of the bathrobes is made of quick-drying polyester micro-velour, while the absorbent, skin-friendly cotton terry faces the inside. When exposing these bathrobes to heat, we therefore create a kind of candlewick effect: as the synthetic fibre dries, it virtually draws up the water bound inside the cotton, thus accelerating the evaporation process. In this way, the laundry saves both time and energy.

Two-sided colouring with immense user benefit

Thanks to a sophisticated colour scheme, the company has further enhanced Twin-Star’s economy. Only the polyester portion is dyed with light- and washfast disperse dyes. These do not fade even with boil wash or change colour due to optical brighteners. In addition, since disperse dyes have no affinity whatsoever with cotton, the natural fibre does not discolour either. This means that the fabric appearance remains unchanged even after umpteen washes. Twin-Star bathrobes thus have a long useful life, can be used longer in the rental cycle and need to be replaced less frequently. The bi-colour look therefore leads to further improvements in the economic and ecological scorecard of a laundry operation.

Three models, seven colours, three certificates

Floringo offers its bi-colour bathrobes with the special sandwich construction in various designs, namely in a kimono cut made of a 250 g/m² lightweight fabric from the Twin-Star economy series as well as in a shawl collar and hood variant made of a 320 g/m² heavy fabric (Twin-Star premium). Depending on the model, up to seven colours are available, combined with white, i.e., walnut, elephant grey, slate, fango, lagoon, cream, anthracite. The complete range is certified according to Standard 100 by Oekotex, Made-in Green and the government sustainability seal “Green Button”.
