The KW Group is an owner-managed company with the focus on the development and manufacture of individual suspension systems.

As a development partner for sophisticated controlled suspension systems KW automotive offers the entire product range of hydraulics, electronics, sensors, control devices and damper controls as well as the necessary Know-How for the application and coordination of complex driving dynamics controls from a single source.

In addition to its own brands – KW suspensions, ST suspensions and ap Sportfahrwerke - the KW automotive Group manufactures special OE suspension series for the automotive industry, homologated motorsport applications and small series  for various finishers.

Other brands of the KW Group are the suspension manufactures AL-KO Damping Unit, Belltech and Reiger Suspensions as well as the light alloy wheel manufacturer BBS. The Group has locations in major markets such as China, Great Britain, Japan, Switzerland, Spain, Taiwan and USA. Of all the 1,200 employees worldwide, about 360 works at the headquarter in Fichtenberg.

AL-KO Damping Technology

AL-KO Damping is one of the European market leaders for suspension solutions in the commercial vehicle industry - specialized in the development and manufacture of industrially produced and customized shock absorbers.

In the Spanish AL-KO factory in Abadiano, the shock absorbers are manufactured flexibly for  the global AL-KO industrial customer and are also delivered in small series just-in-time. The AL-KO components are competitive products and meet the highest demands of the European commercial and recreational vehicle industry.

KW suspensions

The brand KW is the market leader and innovator individually in the height and damping of adjustable coilovers and develops the right suspension for every demand. Divided into the 3 product groups «Street Comfort», «Street Performance» and «Track Performance», all customers will find the ideal suspension technology for their individual projects. Directly and via a national and international dealer network, the KW coilover suspensions for current vehicles and classic cars are sold.

Reiger Suspension

Reiger Suspension has been part of the KW automotive Group since 2021 and manufactures motorsport dampers and suspension systems primarily for professional rally and off-road use. Reiger motorsport customers have dominated the WRC and rally raids such as the Dakar for years. In addition to applications for passenger cars and trucks, Reiger also develops shock absorbers for the motocross, quad and sidecar segment.

ST Suspension

From height- and performance-adjustable coilover kits to sport suspensions and dampers, as well as springs, swaybars, wheels spacers, and lift kits (spring distance kits), ST suspensions cover all application areas at attractive prices for street suspension technology. The TÜV-tested and high-quality suspensions, manufactured in Germany, are available for numerous vehicles. These German-made components fit not only Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Opel, Porsche, and Volkswagen models, but also many others from Alfa Romeo to Hyundai, Toyota, and Volvo. The range of ST sport springs alone covers over 1,000 applications for both current and older models. The same applies to the coilover kits and other ST components manufactured by KW automotive in Fichtenberg (Germany). With its diverse offering of spacers, ST suspensions provides excellent opportunities for tire dealers, who are increasingly focusing on not only summer and winter tire business, and independent workshops to retain customers through additional performance service offerings.
