ABS STEERING & SUSPENSION
STEERING & SUSPENSION
The ABS range of steering and suspension parts consists of more than 8,000 items. Whether it’s cast iron, sheet metal or the ever more common aluminum, ABS supplies it. Good rubber mountings have a major influence on a comfortable driving experience and ABS therefore sets high requirements for these parts. Rubber compliant to ASTM D412 is used for the covers of steering parts. This type of rubber is extremely flexible, UV and oil resistant. It is heat resistant up to 80 °C. Steering and suspension products are included with fitting instructions to extend the product lifetime.
SUSPENSION ARMS
Suspension arms are a key component of the suspension. Suspension arms (or track control arms, as they are also referred to), form the link between the chassis and the wheels, allowing the car to steer and allowing the wheels to move up and down. Suspension arms are exposed to water, dirt and salt. To ensure a long service life control arms are fitted with high quality components and are coated to prevent rust. The suspension parts undergo many forces and need to be able, to deal with different road and weather conditions.
