Contact Evolution measuring system - unique in the world of its kind - represents an electronic system projected into future engineering. Born from the basic principles of a calibration machine it carries a huge developing potential and further future applications. We recently added a feature to allow measurements of external panels of vehicle (wheels on the floor!) with mechanics mounted. Thanks to its sophisticated and advanced software and hardware it can guarantee maximum precision of measurements (+/- 0,5 mm on a length spread of 5.4 meters).

Car Bench Contact Evolution latest Measuring software enables the operator to quickly measure a vehicle to properly diagnose and identify damages without lifting the vehicle or putting it on a Jig Bench. This process ensures a Correct First Inspection reducing additional estimates. The process will take maximum 7 minutes.

The global insurance market today does not allow much time for bodyshops to carry out a correct estimate due to the long preparation time needed. Vehicles needs to be brought to a lift in a busy environment, lifted up, stripped from protections and plastic covers, measured, have all protections and covers put back on and lowered down again (without mentioning removing the doors to get side measures of the vehicle which would take approximately 2 hours per side alone).

In addition, Correct First Inspection on aluminum strut towers needs to be measured while the car is standing on the floor with suspensions under tension to detect any cracks in the structure and not hanging from a lift. Only Contact Evolution is able to carry out this task without extensions, adapters and unnecessary tolerances which they could possibly introduce.

Finally, given its compact size, Contact Evolution can be brought to the vehicle no matter where it is, even if it is in the middle of a street for an instant measuring.

All the above features of Contact Evolution software have been developed by working confidentially and closely with several prestigious OEMs that are already going in this direction for the future. Lifting vehicles for an estimate will not be a needed requirement anymore soon.

The Muraena bench is available in two configurations: a mobile version on wheels, to be used with any two-post lift or with a scissor lift (4.5 or 6.0 Tons).

On both models it is possible to mount different series of sill clamps (both universal and specific) and two types of pull posts: Muraena or Piranha. Naturally both models are predisposed to fit on the crossbeams the Universal Jig system and the Electronic measuring instrument Contact Evolution.

The bench combined with a special scissor lift is mobile and inclinable on both ends. Its dimensions have been optimized to allow the maximum accessibility, both inside and outside the frame during the entire repair process in order to work in an efficient ergonomics approach. Its technical specifications enable the end-user to carry out re-alignment operations when repairing passenger’s cars, light commercial and off-road vehicles while maintaining a comfortable working posture. The frame is manufactured using a high tensile steel box-section which is milled to ensure a precise positioning of the checking points. It can be fitted with one or more Muraena or Piranha pull posts positioned, also very close to each other. Approach ramps and side runners thanks to their specific design allow the loading on board of vehicle without dismantling the basic equipment.

he Meg is the answer to those who want to optimize their spaces by being the first "all in one station" Bench; thanks to the application of the targets it is in fact possible to check the wheel alignment, the calibration of the ADAS systems and the intelligent headlights.

The Meg can also be integrated with the Car Bench Contact Evolution electronic measuring instrument, which can be positioned on the crossbeams and without the need to be removed during the loading / unloading phase of the vehicle.

Born as a jig bench with a frame increased to 6.0 meters in length positioned on a 6 Tons lift, The Meg has been integrated with turntables that allow the vehicle to be perfectly aligned, making the verification procedures much faster.

The maximum working height is 1.80 meters and allows the operator to work in complete ergonomics. This means being able to work in a more comfortable position, ensuring greater simplicity and precision in using the bench itself.

To facilitate the positioning and / or movement of The Meg inside the bodyshop, the lift has a double effect, this means that the base can be lifted from the floor, allowing the bench to be moved thanks to the four twin wheels.
