Aspöck Systems GmbH

Description

The Austrian lighting manufacturer Aspöck Systems is supplementing the extensive product range of its TOP brand ASPÖCK with the secondary brand FABRILcar. Manoeuvring lights, ambient lighting and flashing lights are examples of where FABRILcar is expanding the product range. The FABRILcar brand offers lighting in three categories, enabling clear differentiation: Premium, Economy and Budget. From solid products for all-round solutions to cost-effective variants for vehicles that are getting on in years. The product is different, but the service and sales network is that of the Aspöck Group. All customers of both brands enjoy professional support with a high level of technical expertise and solution-orientated service.

FABRILcar | The success story

The journey through time starts in 1996. Aspöck Systems presents Multipoint, its first multi-function light with integrated retro reflector triangle, the complete package of a rear lamp. At this time, the name FABRILcar is mentioned for the first time in the company's history, as Multipoint was manufactured by the Portuguese light manufacturer FABRILcar. The successful collaboration laid the foundation for the takeover of the company, including the brand name, in 2007. FABRILcar was renamed Aspöck Portugal in 2008. Meanwhile, the need for more lamps and accessories grew within the Aspöck Group. The desire to be able to meet this demand internally was met with the definition of a second brand. Under the brand name FABRILcar - purchased with all property rights and already well-known on the lighting market - the company pushed ahead with its own developments in parallel. Today, FABRILcar presents itself in the Aspöck colour design, which complements the ASPÖCK brand world as a second brand.

LED strips FlexLED ECE Lighting functions

With innovative LED and Light Guide technology, Aspöck is setting new standards in the development of trend-setting lighting. Customer-specific requirements in terms of function and design spur the light maker on. It uses FlexLED strips to create standardised and individual solutions for truck and car trailers, construction machinery, emergency vehicles and caravans. The strips, tested to the highest protection classification IP6K9K, impress with their bending radius, robustness and high flexibility in mounting. Three LED strip variants, in clear or diffuse versions, are available to meet all requirements: FlexLED small - the space-saving version, FlexLED medium - the universal version and FlexLED large - the robust version.

FlexLED strips with ECE light function are only realised in the large version. Their strength and robustness (against stone chipping, etc.) enable a very wide range of applications: As tail light, position light, stop light or third brake light. Their appearance can be recognised by the light colours red, amber and white. The homogeneous light surface is diffusely moulded and mainly intended for lighting functions. The luminous power of the linear lighting scales almost linearly with the product length.

Its homologated functions fulfil the UNECE R148 approval. We are not satisfied with the minimum values of the regulation - our integrated diffuser system ensures the best possible visibility from all viewing angles. If parts of a third brake light are covered by mountings (e.g. bicycle carriers) on vehicles, the customisable length - almost across the entire width of the vehicle - still ensures good visibility and thus sufficient safety on the road.

Their added value clearly lies in the fact that customised design can be implemented without a high investment. Aspöck will be exhibiting two new FlexLED ECE products at Agritechnika:

FlexLED ECE - Side marker
There is no way around the new generation of side marker lamps in the future. Cumbersome cabling between the individual SMLs is no longer necessary as they can be displayed via the linear lamp. An implemented power supply makes it possible to integrate up to 15 metres of LED strips. A well thought-out lighting solution has been developed here that can be integrated with a significantly reduced installation time.

FlexLED ECE - multifunction lamps
When it comes to trailer lighting, this is a quantum leap in terms of design. It was developed for mounting high up on the rear of the trailer and includes the functions direction indicator (supporting function), position light, stop light and a work light for approaching the ramp. All these functions are combined in a continuous profile with a single-sided power supply.
