Description

Cartechnic

ATR's own brand has been on the market since the mid-90s. With Cartechnic, ATR and its sales partners offer customers a lower priced alternative to that of existing manufacturers at comparable quality. The Cartechnic products are sold by the ATR distribution partners at home and abroad.

In the start-up phase the range only included radiator and windscreen antifreeze protection. In the course of the past years, the product range was extended by further product groups to more than 300 articles. In addition: Maintenance and service products, air-conditioning oils, automotive lamps, car care products, starter batteries, paint products and much more. Cartechnic products are used today in many workshops, in specialist shops, at tyre chains and petrol stations and are increasingly in demand.

Overview
ATR is an international trade cooperation in the Independent Aftermarket (IAM), where it works together with a large number of well-known parts suppliers. The cooperation is characterized by a relationship based on partnership and ever closer coordination, as a result of the challenges of the markets worldwide. Current challenges include increasing technological change and the growing importance of information technologies and digitalization in the spare parts market, as well as the design of future mobility models and the resulting need for additional information and training. Regional differences due to differentiated market needs are also taken into consideration.

ATR supports and strengthens sustainable business relationships in the independent aftermarket, where significant changes are faced in the economic, political, technological and socio-economic environment. These include changing customer expectations, acceleration in technological innovation and shifts in the competitive environment. These developments are changing the way customers, automotive suppliers and other stakeholders act in the automotive aftermarket, how they think about vehicle technology and mobility, and how business is conducted, and value is created. The aim is to guarantee access to high-quality, as well as competitive products and services for the end customer, to strengthen the market position of all participants and to generate growth potential. For this reason, ATR International AG also attaches particular importance to a pronounced awareness of quality, a clear commitment to the independent aftermarket and close cooperation with the ATR shareholders when selecting its suppliers.

Supplier Management:
The basis for cooperation between the ATR shareholders and suppliers is the framework agreement. Operational purchasing itself is carried out directly by the shareholders. All ATR shareholders have their own procurement and product management. The goods are delivered directly from the ATR suppliers to the shareholders in their logistics centers. From there, further distribution takes place in most cases via their own branches or sales houses to customers of the ATR shareholders. ATR coordinates these purchasing activities. Close cooperation with all parties involved is a matter of course. Bundling the product range and the associated concentration of suppliers is a strategic focus of ATR. For this purpose, a separate, successful program for spare parts was developed in 2004: IPAS (International Preferred ATR Supplier).

Other product areas are looked after in close coordination with experts from the ATR shareholders and form a focal point in the coordination.

IPAS:
IPAS stands for International Preferred ATR Supplier. With this concept, ATR is currently building up a supplier portfolio that is as uniform as possible in 66 countries. The aim is to bundle product ranges and to concentrate the purchasing volume of the ATR shareholders more and more on IPAS. This creates a "win-win situation" for both sides
