* L’ACCUMULATEUR TUNISIEN ASSAD (ATA) is the market leader in Tunisia in the manufacturing, distribution, and recycling of starter lead-acid batteries, with a market share historically around 50% and has become an active regional player.
* ATA is export oriented company since many years, it exports around 65% of its production, mainly to European and African markets. It has started a successful regional expansion, with Batteries Assad Algérie (BAA), now solidly established in Algeria, with an assembly line of 330 000 batteries
* In Tunisia, the company operates modern facilities in Bouargoub industrial area spreading over 14,000 square meters in an industrial site of 40,000 sq meters ; with an installed capacity of 1.3 million batteries per year. It has progressively upgraded and modernized its equipment and products. Dedicated and well trained employees ensure the efficient operation of these facilities in line with international standards (ISO 14001, ISO 9001, IATF 16949)
* ATA operates a unique lead recycling unit in the Maghreb region, with a capacity of 14,000 tons capacity
* The Algerian subsidiary has finish the building a new plant, that will increase capacity of the assembly line to 600,000 batteries, as well as increase industrial integration
* The company is listed on the Tunis Stock Exchange since April 2005, with a market cap of 120 mn TND (2023)
