The BM Universal Inspection Lane is fully automated and includes the latest technology for the collection of test data. The system consists of state of the art test equipment from a range of suppliers all of which has obtained “Proof of Concept” from some of the most prestigious vehicle inspection bodies in countries like England, Ireland, Lithuania, and Denmark.

The BM Universal Inspection Lane is designed for the heavy use and high throughput experienced in the vehicle inspection environment. The equipment fulfils all CEE directives and is customised to meet the exact requirements of each individual market and Regulatory Body. The system is fully automated via the BM FlexCheck Vehicle Inspection IT system.

• Different makes and models of electronic test equipment can be connected to BM FlexCheck via Bluetooth.
• With BM FlexCheck you can create lane designs with less test equipment than with conventional vehicle inspection IT systems.

BM2900 headlight tester is a fully automated robot headlight tester that is installed on rails on the floor. The tester can test high, low and fog beams and all types of lamps (halogen, xenon and LED). The tester moves on 4 wheels along the 4.5 m rails on the floor and thanks to photo diodes in the main column, it contains automatic positioning in front of the headligts of the vehicle.

The vehicles positioning is detected and the LED head-up display will assist the driver during the inspection regarding vehicle positioning and change from one light source to another.

Furthermore the tester has a full wireless solution for power supply and transmission enabling interaction with inspection lane and ability to communicate with a PC. Also integration with the BM FlexCheck vehicle inspection IT system is possible. The IT system allows for establishing fully automated one or multilane test facilities. The BM2900 is controlled via a wireless remote control.

BM has developed a unique transport frame system, which can be mounted onto a standard trailer with tilt function. The transport system is modularly designed and covers means of transportation of:

• BM20200 mobile brake tester.
• BM53000 mobile wheel play detector.
• BM910 side slip
• Transport trailer for BM20200, BM53000, and BM910
• Generator onboard the trailer

The transport system has a number of important benefits including ensuring equal distribution of weight onto the full area of the trailer bed, fixation of equipment during transport and correct angle for avoiding bottom out when loading and unloading the equipment.

The test equipment can be placed directly on the workshop floor without need of expensive civil work and offer a capacity of testing vehicles with up to 20 Ton axle load. Installation time is between 10 and 30 minutes and the mobile test line can be supplied with – or without the transport trailer solution.

With the BM20200 mobile brake tester the repair technician can perform efficient and fast diagnostics of the vehicle brake system and hereby enhance the brake repair work at a lower cost. When brake repair is completed, the repair technician will use the BM20200 to verify the functionality of the brake system and provide a high quality assurance of the work to the benefit of the customer.

The BM53000 is a tool which allows for a fast inspection of the wear components of the steering axles as well as inspecting the mechanical condition of all other axles on the vehicle. This inspection will allow the repair technician to detect and repair dangerous wear problems before delivering back the vehicle to the customer in a safe and improved condition.

The BM910 is placed on-ground and supported by a drive-over plate for the other wheel, so good toe in/out measurement can be obtained.
