The buchheister® tube product family is the design element of the future. Designer Jochen Schmiddem has set new standards in sun protection and privacy with this development. The idea of the product is based on the combination of two benefits: The high-quality design of a roller blind and the flexibility of a pleated blind. If you imagine a window situation, you often don‘t want to be seen from the outside, but want to look out yourself. Especially in winter, the sun is particularly flat on the horizon, so that you want to hide the sun from the field of vision but still enjoy the view from the window. Thus, the buchheister® tube represents a real alternative to pleated blinds.
The focus of the design is on the cassette, which is distinguished by its innovative construction. The aim is to accommodate as much fabric as possible in as thin a cassette as possible. Here the special tube fabrics from the buchheister® tube inspiring rooms collection can be used. In the diameters Ø35-40mm the tube roller blind can be ordered up to a maximum width of 120 cm. Whether a 35mm cassette or a 40mm cassette is to be used depends on the amount of fabric to be rolled up in the cassette. In cassette thicknesses of Ø45 mm and Ø50 mm, the tube roller blind is available up to a maximum width of 180 cm. A soft wave has been installed in the tube cassette, which makes it possible to operate the roller blind without a chain hoist. The cassette is available in white, black, stainless steel and chrome.
The buchheister® tube family consists of three products: buchheister® tube, buchheister® tube-light and buchheister® tube-blind.
The buchheister® tube consists of two tensioning ropes (freely selectable in height) which hold the tube cassette at the position you require. By pressing the ellipses to the left and right of the cassette, the cassette is unlocked and can be freely adjusted in height and repositioned on the wire rope. The ropes can be fastened using various carrier techniques. There is a choice of a clamping support variant for fixing the roller blind to the window frame, a wall support variant for tensioning on the wall and a floor/ceiling support variant for tensioning the system throughout the room. A second high-end design solution is optionally available at an extra charge: The buchheister® b-box, which allows bracing between floor and ceiling. All carrier technologies can be equipped with the tesa „Never again drill“ technology, which makes it possible to stick the carrier variants (with the exception of clamping carriers) onto all smooth materials. Thus, the tube can be used without drilling.
As with the buchheister® tube, the focus is on the design of the cassette. The cassette can be used with the special tube fabrics from the buchheister® inspiring rooms collection. In the diameters Ø35-40mm the tube roller blind can be ordered up to a maximum width of 120 cm. Whether a 35mm cassette or a 40mm cassette should be used depends on the amount of fabric to be used in the cassette. In cassette thicknesses of Ø45 mm and Ø50 mm, the tube roller blind is available up to a maximum width of 180 cm. A soft wave has been installed in the tube cassette, which makes it possible to operate the roller blind without a chain hoist. The roller blind can be mounted on the wall with wall brackets or optionally with ceiling brackets for ceiling mounting.
With the tube-light we have created a solution that makes it possible to tension fabric panels with the help of two wire ropes. By pressing the ellipses left and right on the profile, the fabric panel can be moved in height. The buchheister® tube-light can be fixed to the window frame with clamping beams. An assembly with wall supports and ceiling/floor supports can also be implemented. The support variant with the buchheister® b-box enables use as a room divider. Up to three fabric panels can be connected in series, all of which are variable and individually adjustable in height. In addition to its use as a privacy screen, the tube-light can also be used as an alternative to pleated blinds.
