RYMEC Concentric Slave Cylinders

Description

RYMEC's range of Concentric Slave Cylinders (CSCs) for passenger cars, light and commercial vehicles covers 98% of the European vehicle parc. All of these are manufactured to Original Equipment (OE) specification, 100% new and are either sold individually or as part of a three piece clutch kit assembled in our dedicated UK facility in Oxfordshire.

RYMEC engineers follow an extensive testing procedure to ensure all RYMEC CSCs meet the specification and tolerances required to match OE performance and characteristics. We recommend changing the CSC when replacing the clutch or removing the transmission. It is also important to never manually compress the piston, as this will damage the internal seals and can also dislodge the backplate. Care is also needed to ensure that the correct hydraulic fluid is used, for example using either a mineral oil or transmission fluid, will cause the internal seals to swell causing premature failure of the CSC.

Like a lot of car, light and heavy commercial vehicle compoents the CSC cannot be repaired only replaced.

The RYMEC range of Concentric Slave Cylinders is constantly evolving to meet ever-changing market needs and with over 40 years experience manufacturing transmission components, RYMEC is the name you can trust.

For matching OE performance throughout its lifetime, fit CSC, think RYMEC

RYMEC Solid Flywheel Conversion Kits

RYMEC's range of solid flywheel kits for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles covers vehicles from 5 to over 20 years. All manufactured to Original Equipment (OE) specification and are 100% new. No component is remanufactured and all our kits are assembled in our dedicated UK factility in Oxfordshire.

RYMEC's solid flywheel conversion kit is a solid flywheel machined from a single piece of heavy cast iron. They are manufactured to the correct tensile strength to avoid premature failure.

All RYMEC solid flywheels are balanced as a flywheel that is out of balance will cause significant vibration which would increase wtih engine speed.

Solid flywheels have no moving parts unlike a Dual Mass Flywheel (DMF) which has internal damping springs. Solid flywheels have the same rotational inertia as created by the DMF, without compromising driver comfort, and provide the direct contact between the clutch assembly and the engine. For this reason, they are reliable.

Solid flywheel kits are designed to replace a standard fit DMF by using a long travel damper system in the driven plate. The clutch driven plate replicates the movement and damping characterististics of a DMF ensuring driver comfort is not compromised.

RYMEC's solid flywheels are only sold as kits because the clutch is designed to work with the flywheel it is supplied with and not the DMF it is replacing.

With an aging vehice parc and pressure of cost on repair, the demand in the aftermarket for RYMEC solid flywheel conversion kits is growing as a cost effective option.

RYMEC's range of solid flywheel conversion kits is constantly evolving to meet ever-changing needs and with over 40 years experience manufacturing clutches and components, RYMEC is the name you can trust.
