The electrically powered auxiliary oil pump based on the displacement principle and Gerotor design. The pump is driven directly by an electric motor via an intermediate shaft. Speed adjustable variably from 0 to approx. 4,000 rpm.

As needed, auxiliary oil pump is activated in fractions of a second and supports the mechanically powered main oil pump, for example, during shifting processes, with up to 20 bar system pressure. Secondary function is the clutch cooling mode with low pressure and high volumetric flow rates (up to 12l/min).
