NIDEC GPM GmbH
Description
A constant water pump is driven by a belt and is based on the principle of a centrifugal pump. With a rotating impeller the centrifugal force is used for transporting liquids.
The coolant, which enters axially into the pump, is forced by the impeller in a circular path to the outside. The stored energy in the fluid increases the pressure in the pump, and pushes the liquid in the spiral and the connected components. The coolant flow rate is directly related to the engine speed.
