The MBX® technology is especially deve-loped for applications in car repair shops. The MBX® easily removes undercoating and rust – even in hard-to-reach areas. The MBX® will remove paints with ease – especially in contours and edges, remove seals or gaskets on grey cast iron and clean weld seams & threads without damaging the metal surface.

MBX® systems are different from conventional surface preparation systems in that MBX® systems are based on several physical principles: Flexible belts are inserted loosely into a cage-like adaptor system and secured with safety arms. The centrifugal force created by rotation causes the belt to tighten and work as if suspended on an air cushion.

The vibration of the wire bristles (occurring when the bristles first strike the target surface) is absorbed by the air-cushion. The bristles re-strike the surface, immediately following the first strike, dampening any remaining vibration and briefly stopping & releasing the bristles. Another full-rotation of the bristles and maximum kinetic energy is applied at the initial strike.

MBX® belts consist of individual “U“ shaped bristles anchored in a polyamide fabric. Made of carbon steel, the bristles have heat treated tips that strike the target surface individually during rotation.

The MBX® Axial is specially designed to remove corrosion in areas that are difficult to reach – like door rabbets (door jambs), roof joints (rain channels), or wheel housings.

The new cordless technology for the MBX® includes a Safety Switch, a vibration-absorbing handle and a protection cover. As part of the Cordless Alliance System, battery packs and chargers from different manufacturers can be used interchangeably.

We recommend using the 18V/8.0 Ah battery pack, which should last up to 0.5m2 per fully charged battery.
