Thermostil mobil 4000

Mobile filling system for heating water treatment from ORBEN

The water treatment specialist ORBEN offers a new, ready-to-connect mobile complete system for heating water filling in the bypass process in accordance with VDI 2035 and DIN EN 14336. Treatment takes place in just one step, all system components are assembled ready for operation.

The mobile heating water filling unit Thermostil mobil 4000 is ideal for small and medium-sized systems including buffer tanks of up to 2,000 l or for

up to 3,000 l with pure system water content. The circulation capacity in bypass mode is approx. 600 l/h. All necessary components are installed ready for connection: a fine filter for fine filtration up to 1 μm, a magnetic flow filter for magnetite and sludge removal, and a highly efficient heating circulation pump (12 mWS). The filling mobile for heating water treatment is quickly and safely connected to the heating circuit via thermo connection hoses including quick connectors (maximum flow pressure 1.5 bar, maximum operating pressure 6 bar). The quick connectors are safely stored on the unit thanks to clip holders.

The robust stainless steel cartridge (23 l) including LED conductivity indicator for checking an imminent change contains the high-performance resin Thermion2035 ph-conform. It is specially optimised for heating filling and heating water treatment in the bypass process and ensures full desalination of the heating water in accordance with VDI 2035. The capacity of one filling at 420 μS / cm to < 100 μS is 3590 litres. The pH value is thereby reliably and automatically regulated and can be operated at a maximum temperature of 80° C for the filling of heating circuits. A water meter installed on the unit as well as a test tap support the necessary measurement and documentation before and after treatment. All necessary measuring and testing equipment as well as a system logbook are also available. Delivery and on-site instruction are carried out via the three-stage distribution channel by a qualified ORBEN service technician.

ORBEN is the water specialist in the three-stage distribution channel. The water, heating water and circuit water experts offer a complete range of products, services and services for the initial filling or replenishment of heating systems in accordance with VDI 2035 / EN 1686 in domestic and building technology as well as district and local heating networks in accordance with AGFW 510. From mobile and permanently installed products for heating water treatment including inon-exchange resins to solutions for replenishment and services for small and large systems including accessories, ORBEN offers solutions for heating and circuit water.

Mobile heating water filtration Ultraflex by Orben

Heating water filter mobile from ORBEN

Clean heating water protects and ensures the trouble-free performance of a system. For mobile cleaning of heating circuits, the water specialist ORBEN now offers the Thermostil Ultraflex system. The ready-to-connect mobile heating water filter removes magnetite, solid and suspended matter as well as dirt and foreign substances from the system water. Thermostil Ultraflex can also be rented to get to know the new system or for infrequent use.

With a heating water range of up to 90°C, the complete system filters all magnetic and non-magnetic deposits from the heating water of small and large systems. All components are mounted on a hand truck ready for operation: a combined fine and magnetite filter including filter bag for fine filtration down to 1µm, a tacosetter for adjusting the circulation rate, a water meter for recording the filtration rate, a connection for the optional connection of an ion exchanger cartridge and a highly efficient heating circulation pump. For an elevated position, the pump is fixed on a standing platform. The filtration mobile is connected to the heating circuit via thermo connection hoses including quick connectors (maximum operating pressure 6 bar).

Clean system water

Magnetite and rust sludge can cause malfunctions and damage in heating systems, for example to permanent-magnet high-efficiency pumps, the condensing boiler, heat exchangers or valves. This is because deposits that worsen heat transfer or impair control accuracy increase the effort and thus the costs involved in heat generation and transfer. Clean system water thus increases the service life of the heating system, protects its components and reduces running costs.

Also for rent and as a service

In addition to sales, Orben also offers the system to the trade for rent for a period of 4 weeks or more via the three-stage sales channel, as well as an extension option if required. The standard-compliant filtering of heating water is also part of Orben's extensive service programme, which the family-owned company can take over completely on behalf of the specialist tradesman, for example, in the event of high staff utilisation. For this purpose, Orben maintains a trained team of service technicians in its ten branches throughout Germany.

Magnetite and dirt separators for heat pumps RBM MP1 and MP2

Magnetite separators especially for heat pumps

Low pressure loss, high performance with a large flow range, a large collecting vessel, an extremely strong magnet as well as a fine-meshed filter network, ideally matched for hydraulic system conditions of heat pumps, but also wood heating systems: the new magnetite and sludge separators.

How it works

The MP1 and MP2 magnetite and sludge separators are equipped with a powerful neodymium magnet with 11,000 gauss as well as a fine-mesh filter insert. Due to this dual action, they reliably filter all magnetic and non-magnetic impurities from the heating system. The particularly large collection container makes both ideal for systems with heat pumps or wood heating systems.

How dual filtration works

Due to the change in cross-section of the filter chamber compared to the pipe, the heating water slows down there, the close-meshed filter insert catches all non-magnetic impurities exactly there. The magnetic impurities, such as magnetite, are then attracted and intercepted by the magnet mounted in the centre of the filter chamber. In this way, magnetic or ferrous and non-magnetic impurities are removed from the system and collected at the bottom of the large collection tank.

Maintenance

All necessary shut-off, draining and venting devices for maintenance are already integrated on both separators ex works. The drain ball valve is located at the bottom of the collection tank, the shut-off device and venting at the top of the filter housing. Without having to open the filter, the strong neodymium magnet can be pulled out downwards. Depending on how dirty the system is, this maintenance can also be carried out with cleaning of the filter screen. The unrivalled capacity of the collection tank accommodates longer maintenance intervals.

MP1 or MP2 - The difference is the installation situation

Magnetite and sludge separators should always be installed in the return before the heat generator to protect it from contamination, which usually comes from the system. However, not every system always offers enough space. The 28.5 cm high and 10 cm wide MP1 model stands out because of its large collection container. It should only be installed in horizontal pipelines. The more compact MP2 model is recommended for installation situations where there is not enough space. It can also be rotated 360° via the union nut of the diverter valve housing and installed horizontally, vertically or diagonally in almost all installation positions. Both models have a 1" connection and optional thermal insulation is available to maintain the heat level for reduced energy consumption, energy costs and CO2 emissions.

RBM and Orben

Since 2022, RBM and Orben Water Treatment have been going their separate ways in the D-A-CH region. Orben exclusively represents the range of magnetite, sludge and air separators in the three-stage distribution channel. The contact persons for the trade and wholesalers are Orben's experienced industrial and commercial representatives.

The family-owned company RBM from northern Italy with a turnover in the three-digit million range was founded in 1953 by the Bossini family near Brescia in northern Italy. The specialist has four of its own production facilities in the Brescia area near Lake Garda and six branches worldwide with more than 250 employees. RBM stands for an extremely high and automated vertical range of manufacture. The ultra-modern production facilities in nearby Italy guarantee a high level of delivery readiness, especially in times of strained global supply chains, and the ability to respond quickly and flexibly to new requirements and customer wishes thanks to in-house development and production. Especially in the field of magnetite and sludge separators, a large number of innovations have been successfully placed in other European countries in recent years.
