Following the frequent thefts of batteries in electric vehicles, we designed and patented the WATT-LOCK device, a Toyota battery anti-theft device available for most of its car models. The installation of the anti-theft device prevents the battery's securing bolts from being unscrewed, limiting the theft of the battery pack in hybrid cars.
The effectiveness of the anti-theft device varies depending on how many bolts are covered and their position.
