When selling any MOT Bay, there’s a lot to consider.

Has the customer got enough space around the lift, is there enough height, is the bay long enough, what Classes of MOT

Testing does want to be able to do?

Then just as you think you’ve got over those hurdles the customer says,

“will it do motorcycles or 3 wheelers, can I have larger screen or even an in-car display such as a tablet etc”

In some cases “that cabinet is a bit too big for my MOT Bay have you got something smaller?”

Well the good news from Velyen is yes you can do everything.

It might take some external extras and your proposed drawing may get a bit more complicated, but you can test motorcycles and 3 wheelers, you can add a larger screen as big as you like and you can use a tablet in-car with you.

And if the MOT Bay is very small or very tight you can use a much smaller pedestal mounted model brake tester.

The cabinet includes the electronics, full size PC, keyboard, Printer, Infra-red remote control and colour monitor.

The brake tester comes complete with all the MOT Testing software installed.

All Velyen brake testers incorporate “soft start motors” these are a real selling feature, the usual bang that is heard when starting other manufacturers rollers are totally eliminated when using soft start.

Mopeds, Motorcycles & Three wheeled vehicles.

All Velyen roller brake testers can carry out brake testing on mopeds, motorcycles and 3 wheeled vehicles.

If you intend to test 3 wheeled vehicles a parameter in the machines software will need to be changed, to change this parameter you will need the Velyen service dongle.

When using the brake tester for motorcycle testing you will require the  option of a motorcycle cover plate.

The Cover plate for Class 4, 4RF0110L is  Part Number : 4301900

The Cover plate for Class 7, 4RF0210L is Part Number : 4302000

No other hardware or software is required.

Larger Monitor :This Velyen brake tester uses an industry standard PC, so if your customer requires a larger monitor for instance, it’s no problem.

We have machines with wall mounted 42” TV screens operating already.

A simple “powered” monitor splitter device from PC World or similar plus the additional screen, wall mounting bracket and cabling make a simple update for any installation. (These items at your own cost)
