More and more car bodies are made of a combination of steel, aluminum and carbon. For now,  major automobile manufacturers like Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Opel, Peugeot, Renault, Volvo and VW are using mixed construction. This trend will be increasing in the upcoming years in the automotive industry.

Our new work place CAMELEON designed for car body repairs for vehicles in composite construction is structured as multiple usage workplace for:  sawing, cutting, welding, grinding, bonding, riveting, assembling removing, shaping, sucking und cleaning.

Nowadays car repair shops as well as car bodywork small businesses must keep up with the new technologies and mix construction car bodies repair work involved in accident repairs. This is the reason why we designed this innovative work place.

Because of the current safety requirements the repair of  a vehicle with a mix construction body involved in an accident, will normally be divided over several workstations. This is a very expensive procedure that cost a lot of time, energy and space. For mix construction bodyworks the repair shop is required to have separate workstations for steel, aluminum and carbon.

The new CAMELEON workstation is the perfect solution for the future bodyrepair shop, being that more and more vehicles have a mix  (steel, aluminum and carbon ) construction body. With our workplace the body repair work can be carried out , on daily basis, for cars with steel bodies and cars with bodies in mixed constructions in a single workplace without any waste of time and space. The CAMELEON workplaces are ergonomic, safe and economic.

An improper handle of the joints between steel, aluminum, carbon and plastic may lead to contact corrosion in the vehicle and to the release of hazardous dusts, vapors and other chemical-physical compounds.

In case of possible accidents in the bodyrepair shop, the owner of the shop is directly responsible and liable for any damage to the vehicles in the repair process. As per law, the owner of the repair shop is fully responsible for operational safety. Normally , the car manufactures, provide the mandatory training to ensure a quality repair of the vehicles. SEHON  provides training for mandatory safety instructions for repair shop owners and their employees.

CAMELEON, the new body workplace for mixed construction from SEHON  Innovative Lackieranlagen , meets the legal requirements for workplace safety, including the surrounding work areas. Core innovation is the Multi-Dust-Separator used for the safe and spark-free one-way direct suction of various dusts without the risk of dust explosion.

CAMELEON basic features include : a certified curtain system with selectable color of the transparent strip, a LED lighting of at least 900 lux, a welding smoke exhaust ( installable left or right) , a technical back wall for the extraction and filter technology, integrated tool cabinets with separate steel and aluminum tools, various storage areas and storage spaces as well as a central supply terminal for all media. The workplace is functional in recirculation and exhaust air modes.
Optional features include a roof vent for smoke and fumes, a second welding fume extractor, aluminum and steel tools, hand tools and consumables, special tools, lifting platforms and straightening benches.
The new body workplace allows a modular workplace design and equipment according to customer requirements and operational installation situations - even as an upgrade in existing bodyrepair shops.
