Glow Plugs
Diesel engines ignite with spontaneous combustion at temperature above 650ºC. During ignition, when engine is still cold, part of heat produced by the compression is absorbed and lost preventing the possibility of spontaneous combustion: glow plugs work as additional source of heat to compensate for these losses. Our glow plugs are made in double coil technology: a combination of heating+regulating coils joint together in a resistor element. Regulating coil normally in FeCo increases its resistance with increase of temperature, current and temperature are regulated downwards, thus achieving fast heat-up times a low peak temperatures. Our glow plugs normally reach operating temperature of 850°C in less than 6 seconds which satisfies any application.
