Non-woven, needled polyester or/and polypropylene CARTESS nonwovens, are widely used in the automotive industry with high strength and high performance offered by a relatively low weight, among others, high sound insulation or thermal, puncture resistance, or the filter properties. These non-woven fabrcis become non-flammable or resistant to all sorts of chemical agents as a result of the application of appropriate apertures; they are applied both in the body and interior of the car; they are relatively easy to succumb to the formation and are easily recyclable in the case of destruction of the vehicle. All of these caused that the car sector implemented a non-woven needled fabrics long ago, in order to meet your needs and still appear in new places in the design of the car, where they apply.

IMP COMFORT evolved and developed the production of non-woven fabrics in two basic types:

1. Non-woven needled fabrics with the weights of 80-150 g/m2; characterised by great resisrance and very good distribution; used as shelves or racks, often as part of a veneering in visible places.
2. Non-woven needled fabrics with the weights of 200 – 1000 g/m2 used primarily as the elements of soundproofing of the cars in the places, which are normally invisible. They provide effective acoustic barrier at relatively small weights. It is possible to cut them on mats or stick the foil or cover them with the glue.

Comtess® is a non-woven fabric with special mechanical properties and uniform distribution of the fibres on the width of the package. High tensile strength combined with low basis weight makes them perfect upholstery material to protect and cover the external part of the upholstered furniture.

Thanks to the large tensile resisatnce and optimal extensions, the non-woven fabric Comtess® are great for strengthening the sofas and couches in places which are not visible to the user. Comtess® takes the loads generated during the life of the furniture, securing its construction against rupture.

They are cotton and linen, crimped fibers, with round section. They are intended to fill duvets and pillows, and above all, for the production of non-woven fabric: non-woven fluffy fabrics, used in furniture manufacturing and clothing, and needled nonwoven fabrics. Our fibers are hygienic and allergy-free, comfortable to use, lightweight, breathable and durable. They are characterized by high resistance to breaking, bending and abrasion, as well as resistance to light and chemical and biological factors.

GEOFORT non-wovens are made both from polypropylene and polyester fibres in the process of mechanical needling with the possibility of thermal veneering of the surface. This technology provides the ability to control the parameters of finished nonwoven geotextiles, depending on the application and their functions.

The products of GEOFORT® type do not contain any dangerous chemical compounds (e.g., formaldehyde resins, phthalates or other organic compounds), _ and thus, they are environmentally friendly. The polypropylene geotextiles are resistant to mold and mildew, which was confirmed with the results of the tests carried out by an independent Institute of British Textile Technology Group.

Two-component Ovata® nonwovens – are produced on the basis of two-component polyester fibres, which are used both as structural and binding elements in the welding process. Thanks to this solution, they are softer and more flexible, while meeting the requirements of the British BS 5852 standard: Part 2: 1982 documented by test results from the English laboratory INTERTEK.

Ovats add softness and fluffiness to upholstered furniture, thus improving the comfort of use. They have non-allergenic properties and their polyester fibres do not contain any restricted chemical substances. Furniture nonwovens Ovata® are not only used in upholstery but also in garden furniture. Due to their draining properties, they are ideal for replacing foam and sponge, without compromising the seating comfort.
