Description
The Oil pan Gaskets have evolved over years. These were initially made with Cork, but because of compression sets on cork, these gaskets were then moulded in silicone rubber, which has further been replaced by moulded rubber with plastic carriers.
This new development has been done because these types of gaskets are easier to install on the assembly line. These are stronger, they do not compress and crush easily, and they are more durable and give an added strength.
