The Holset VGT™ from Cummins Turbo Technologies pioneered Variable Geometry (VG) technology for the commercial vehicle market in 1998. Featuring a patented sliding nozzle ring, the Holset VGT offers a wide flow range that allows for higher boost pressures at low engine speeds. VG technology provides the most fuel-efficient means of driving short-route Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR), which is used to reduce NOx levels.

PROFILE

The most advanced single point machine in the market, extremely versatile machine with CNC driven Z, U and S axes, appropriate for machining any type of cylinder head from small motorcycle to large stationary engine and particularly dedicated to racing engines or engine prototyping.

Semi-automatic valve seat cutting machine working by interpolation between the cutting tool radius and spindle axis. The single point cutting tool generates the profile of the valve seat through the integrated design system, using radius and straight segments.

Gantry machine architecture for a perfectly balanced spindle whatever the working height.

Triple air-float patented centering system and powerful spindle with built-in motor.

Machine producing an accurate machining of the valve seats from the smallest (micro engine) to the biggest diameters (stationary engines). The light-weight floating assembly can machine cylinder heads with guide diameters as small as 4 mm (0.16’’).

Available with an optional extended BEAM (+500mm) to ease the loading and unloading of large and heavy cylinder heads on the floating table and a high torque spindle LONG, allowing the machining of high cylinder heads without dismounting the cutting tool moving from one seat to another.
