Oil Pressure Valve
Beschreibung
The oil pressure relief valve, also known as the oil pressure relief or bypass valve, is a mechanical or spring-loaded valve that is typically located in the engine’s oil pump or near the oil filter housing. Its primary function is to regulate the oil pressure within the lubrication system to prevent it from becoming too high and causing damage to the engine components, such as the oil pump, oil filter, and oil passages. The oil pressure relief valve allows excess oil to bypass the normal oil flow path and return it back to the oil pan or oil sump, thereby maintaining a consistent and safe oil pressure level.
