Our Alternator Pulleys are designed based on the same technology as starter drives. Therefore, they are very robust, have enchanced performance and durability.
The one way clutch system allows the pulley to spin at different speeds than the alternator during acceleration and decelaration. The “overrunning” functions also improves the FEAD´s behavior by reducing tension applied to the belt accessory drive, absorbing backpressure and reducing chirping noise caused by the belt slippage.
