Modern auto windshields are generally made of two sheets of curved glass with Polyvinyl Butyral (PVB) layer laminated between them in high temperature and high pressure processing . Windshields protect the vehicle's occupants from wind, temperature extremes, sunlight and flying debris such as dust, insects, and rocks by its transparentness, high mechanical strength and light fastness.
