Gen 1 bearings are utilized in both driven front and rear wheels. Integral drum designs on the non-driven wheels of cars may also incorporate Gen 1 bearings. It is essential to always refer to and adhere to vehicle and product specifications.

Generation 2 is an integrated assembly of bearing, flange, and other parts, which utilized in front or rear wheels. It is essential to always refer to and adhere to vehicle and product specifications.

- Integral Flange;
- Flanged outer ring serves as a lightweight structural component;
- Used in non-driven front or rear wheels;
- Some products including an impulse wheel (tone ring) for the ABS, Traction Control System, and/or Stability Control System;
- Impulse wheel is typically located on the outer ring;
- Impulse wheel is not serviceable;

Generation 3 is an upgraded assembly based on Generation 1 and Generation 2 products. It is essential to always refer to and adhere to vehicle and product specifications.

Features:
- A tapered or ball design;
- A double row bearing with flanges for wheel and brake rotor attachment and for fixing to the suspension;
- Outer ring fange is bolted to the suspension;
- Rotating inner ring with flange, spigot (pilot), and threaded holes (studs) for mounting the brake and wheel;
- Greased and sealed;
- Suitable for both driven and non-driven wheels;
- For driven wheel applications, torque is transmitted tothe inner ring via a spline, which is included;
- Some include a wheel speed sensor for ABS, Traction Control, and Stability Control systems;
- Some sensors are serviceable with a replacement sensor cord, while others are permanently sealed and non-serviceable.
