asanetwork GmbH is based in Wolfertschwenden in the Allgäu region of Germany. Founded in 1998, 18 companies currently hold shares in the company. The managing director is Frank Beaujean.
The purpose of the company is the further development, distribution and worldwide marketing of the interface standard "Workshop-Net" for manufacturer-independent communication from and between workshop equipment as well as with dealer management systems (DMS) or related enterprise resource programs (ERP) for automotive workshops, inspections centers or end-of-line applications. In addition, asanetwork GmbH provides further development of the "Workshop-Net" network standard and distributes the NETMAN software required for setting up and coordinating a "Workshop-Net" session.
Currently, 60 workshop equipment brands from all over Europe support the standard.
Since 2021, this network standard has been recommended exclusively and Europe-wide by the European umbrella organization of garage equipment suppliers, the European Garage Equipment Association aibsl (EGEA).
