Electrofit, a leader in innovative solutions for vehicle electrification, announces the launch of EFV4, the latest addition to its Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) lineup. Leveraging Electrofit’s software expertise, EFV4 offers a cost-effective, powerful, and highly configurable platform, making it the ideal choice for small-volume and niche vehicle electrification projects.
Built with modern automotive and industrial-grade components, the EFV4 features an automotive processor capable of meeting ASIL B rating, ensuring fail-safe operation even in the most demanding environments. Its flexibility allows for seamless integration with various torque strategies, control of multiple IOs and peripherals, and consolidation of other Electronic Control Units (ECUs) on multiple CAN networks within the vehicle, providing a centralised point of control.
Designed to handle all aspects of modern Electric Vehicle (EV) control, the EFV4 excels in communication with Battery Management Systems (BMS), gear state management, charger communication oversight, cooling subsystem control, and more. Its versatility makes it adaptable to a wide range of project requirements and constraints.
"With the VCU-EFV4, Electrofit continues to push the boundaries of vehicle electrification," said Andy Simner, Sales Director at Electrofit. "Our goal is to give our customers the tools to bring their electrification projects to life efficiently and reliably. The EFV4 embodies our commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction."
