For more than 70 years, AHS and Harald Schneider are synonyms for high-quality products and high-end technology all made in Germany. All products (e. g. roller brake testers, dynamometers, suspension testers for all kind of vehicles) are developed and produced in the headquarters located in Ganderkesee (close to Bremen) as well as in our factory in Berlin-Wildau. Continuous technical improvement and customer-oriented production characterize the company’s policy.
In addition, sustainability becomes more and more a big issue for AHS. In order to guarantee price sensitive workshops high quality for a reasonable price in a market with exploding raw material costs, AHS invests in optimising the input, e. g. with highly modern and energy-saving machines.
Many companies in our market try to cope with increasing costs by outsourcing their production to low-cost countries, but not AHS. All AHS products are completely made in Germany. AHS owns a ISO 9000:2000 quality certificate and the highest quality is just good enough. No product leaves the premises without extensive quality control.
AHS products are uses world-wide. A specialty of AHS are custom-made products, e. g. for existing pits or completely customer-individual purposes or vehicles.
Workshops, car dealerships, bus companies, the army, vehicle construction and agricultural engineering companies count on AHS technology. Customized products e. g. for existing pits or special vehicles like forklifts are planned and realised by AHS.
All AHS testers are equipped with CAN-BUS-Technology, a robust frame construction, a long-living fully plastic-corundum coating of the rollers for extensive usage as well as special locks and silicon seal for the cabinets. Customer-friendliness and high functionality are a matter of course. A fully automatic testing procedure guarantees a cost-efficient, fast and precise diagnose. In addition, the customer can choose within a large variety of accessories in order to adapt the tester to his needs. As a matter of course, all brake testers are homologated by TUV and other important regulations.
Just some examples of the wide AHS product range: The new plate brake testers AHS PL 2 DIGITAL LS is a complete package for the workshop, incl. everything that is needed for the German market due to the brake tester regulation of 2011.
The automatic four-wheel detection for car brake testers “Multiflex” is brand-new and a special AHS version. This kit is a precise as well as time saving method to test cars with four wheel drive on a normal roller brake tester.
The AHS MultiFunktion is a special four-wheel brake tester that allows the testing in street-like condition. All four wheels are tested at once, the brake values can be detected in short time and are significant.
The product line „Varioflex“ includes roller brake testers especially designed for the needs of small up to big truck workshops. For example, the newly developed hydraulic lifting device allows even trucks with automatic transmission to drive out of the brake tester without any difficulties and avoids wheelspin as well as abnormal abrasion of the floor.
AHS dynamometers are the result of a long-term co-operation with the car manufacturers. Extensive testing has led to a customer-oriented and realistic solution. The AHS Dynamik simulates street-like conditions and usage of the vehicle. The motor power can be detected very precisely. It is the result of the measured wheel power on the roller set and the losses that are measured as well.

AHS Plate brake tester
Sorry, this product is only for the German market. But if you are interested in plate brake testers, please feel free to contact us. We have several solutions.

AHS Multiflex
AHS Pedal Force Meter PKW 2012
Each workshop has to cope with this problem: In order to fulfill a complete brake test, one has to measure the pedal force. The classic solution is a pedal force meter that is attached to the foot, but this is not very customer-friendly. Most times, it does not stay under the foot or the testing person has problems to step hard on the pedal. This is the reason why many workshops simply skip this test.
The pedal force meter AHS PKM 2012 solve all this problems. After a long period of development concerning user-friendliness, AHS introduces this new pedal force meter. For measurements, the pedal force stick is positioned on the pedal force. Then the pedal force is pressed manually. You get all values very easily and comfortable by using the precise stain gauge system.

AHS MultiFunktion
The AHS MultiFunktion combines the reliable and powerful technology of Multiflex 06 with an innovative and future-oriented testing concept. A highprofessional brake test under street-like conditions is now possible.
The AHS MultiFunktion allows a convenient testing of front and rear axle of all cars and vans at the same time and is a highly efficient and cost saving method. Vehicles with different four-wheel concepts can be tested precisely and efficiently.
Extensive studies have shown that the testing of numerous four-wheel cars is not or only limited possible on a single roller bed. Many vehicles are even not testable in so-called reverse motion. The reason: Since all four wheels are driven at the same time, the brake forces of the axle that is not positioned in the roller set will be transferred to the axle being tested at that time in the roller set. Defective brakes cannot be detected, the road safety of the vehicle cannot be guaranteed. Brake values are distorted and in the worst case, the gear can be damaged. The so-called “reverse motion” is not a solution: it does not deliver precise and definite brake testing results, because the backlash of teeth is around 0.1 mm and therefore, the influence of the backwards running wheel cannot be ruled out.
With the future-oriented testing concept AHS MultiFunktion these problems belong to the past.

AHS Varioflex
The AHS product line Varioflex consists of roller brake testers especially designed for the needs of truck workshops, either smaller ones or bigger ones.
All types of AHS Varioflex can be equipped with a variety of accessories in order to customize the brake tester and operate it economically. For example, the newly developed hydraulic lifting device allows trucks - even with automatic transmission - to drive out of the roller set without any problems. No wheelspin and no abrasion of the floor anymore!
Some more accessories for comfortable testing are a wheel- and axle-weighbridge, a simultaneous display, a PC system, radio linked pressure transmitters of the latest generation or a hydraulic lifting kit to lift the whole roller set.
All brake testers of type Varioflex can also be used for testing of passenger cars. If needed, they can be equipped with two testing speeds.
The display cabinets of the AHS Varioflex are lately re-designed and include six displays for presenting the pressure values.

Test lanes AHS MultiLine TEC
AHS Multi-Topline and AHS Multi-Screenline are two completely automatic testing concepts for modern workshops.
In presence of the customer, the brake-, side slip- and suspension-system of the car can be tested - completely and precisely. All values are either displayed on the clearly designed cabinet of on screen by using the test software PICARO III.
The testing width of 2.320 mm is very suitable for all passenger cars and transporters, even with twin-wheels.
The two motors with 4,6 kW guarantee a measuring and display range up to 6 kN. The full plastic-corundum coated testing rollers are very robust for extreme usage.
Among the standard equipment, you will find the brake force difference display, the single wheel run and the reverse mode. The automatic four-wheel detection is brand-new and makes the testing of four-wheel driven cars more easy.
Very important for a test lane is the suspension tester. The AHS Easy Swing suspesnion tester is based on the resonance principle introduced by BOGE.
The importance of a suspension tester is very often under estimated. It is a matter of fact that the modern workshop of the future has to rely on a suspension tester. Even on German streets, there is a high pecentage of cars (13%!) with broken shock absorbers. That makes the risk of accident very high. In addition, the suspension tester can help to increase sales by showing the customer the print-out with the reaction curves of their shock absorbers. Reference points make it possible for the customer to see that the absorbers got worse since the last visit in the workshop.
As a matter of course, the AHS test lanes are also available as a mobile version, either just to install them on the ground with ramps or completely mobile with ramps, wheels, and a winch. So they can be uses anywhere and antyime.
