Exciting entertainment set to engage garages at Automechanika Birmingham 2025

28 May 2025

Automechanika Birmingham 2025 is revving up not just for tools and training, but also for top-tier entertainment, live interviews and motorsport icons that will engage and inspire the garage and bodyshop community. Taking place at the NEC from 3rd –5th June, this year’s show features headline partners delivering a packed schedule of appearances, expert sessions and hands-on opportunities vehicle technicians won’t want to miss.

Among the biggest draws is Castrol and The Race Group, who will be hosting a series of exclusive experiences on stand S70. Tim Benson, owner of Oldfields Garage and a respected industry figure with extensive experience in franchising, supply chains and customer experience, will officially launch the new Castrol Service Consultancy, designed to help independent garages improve operations, enhance the customer journey, and increase profitability.

For those with a passion for automotive history, Castrol Classic Oils’ Trevor Allman will also be on hand over at stand C88, offering insights into Castrol’s evolution from classic lubricants to today’s cutting-edge formulations.

Over on stand W80, Shell Lubricant Solutions is marking a huge milestone, 75 years of partnership with Ferrari, by showcasing a freshly branded Formula 1 car live on the stand. Visitors will have the chance to snap a photo with the iconic vehicle and take in the scale of one of motorsport’s most legendary collaborations.

NAPA will also bring the excitement to stand E100 with the appearance of two of its NAPA Racing UK drivers, Dan Cammish and Daniel Rowbottom, who will be on the stand on Tuesday 3 June. The popular duo will be meeting with visitors, sharing their motorsport experiences and offering insight into the performance engineering that connects the racetrack to the repair bay.

Over at stand P110, Snap-on will deliver high-octane entertainment with an appearance from Steve ‘Baggsy’ Biagioni, the international drifting star. Visitors can meet Baggsy in person and get up close with his jaw-dropping Nissan Navara-R – the world’s first GT-R-powered pickup drift truck. With signings, photo ops and one of the most talked-about vehicles in the paddock, this is one not to miss.

Joanne Knowles, Event Director at Messe Frankfurt, organisers of Automechanika Birmingham, commented: “Our headline partners are going above and beyond this year to bring something special to the workshop audience. From race car royalty and expert talks to stunning show vehicles and exclusive meet-and-greets, there’s entertainment that really connects with the trade and reinforces the energy, innovation and passion that drives this industry.”

With hundreds of exhibitors and a full programme of training, competitions, and product launches, Automechanika Birmingham 2025 promises to be a must-attend experience, not just for business, but for inspiration and enjoyment too.

This year’s entertainment line-up proves that professional development doesn’t have to come at the expense of enjoyment. It’s a rare opportunity for garages and bodyshops to learn directly from industry legends, see world-class vehicles up close, and engage with the very people pushing the aftermarket forward. Whether you’re looking to improve your operations, take the pulse of the industry, or just grab a selfie with an F1 car or a drift legend, the NEC will be the place to be this June.

Show visitors will get the chance to meet with over 550 exhibitors showcasing over 50 product launches, as well as benefitting from over 150 hours of free technical training and topical discussions.
