The global automotive industry is undergoing profound changes. In China, with the steady rise in vehicle ownership and the growing cultural aspects within automotive market, the automotive aftermarket is continuing to show long term sustainability. This is also being driven by technological innovation and a shift to higher-end products in consumer preferences, leading to an increasingly diverse automotive ecosystem.
Since its inception in 2025, AAG has aligned with Guangdong’s development strategy. The show leverages distinct advantages of the Guangzhou – Hong Kong – Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) including a comprehensive supply chain, resources for innovation and an international gateway for trade and transport. Through deepening its engagement with the industry and connecting with the likes of the Southeast Asia market and other global hotspots, it has grown into a highly influential trade fair for the automotive aftermarket in southern China.
Ms Li Zhang, Chairperson of China National Machinery Industry International Co Ltd, said: “The automotive industry is undergoing a profound transformation. Connectivity, autonomous, sharing, and electrification (CASE) have become mainstream trends of this development. China’s automotive industry has gone from a trend-follower to trendsetter, and now stands at the forefront of areas, such as assisted driving and battery technology. The country also has a highly established supply chain that spans from parts manufacturing to vehicle manufacturing, demonstrating its global competitiveness.” Ms Zhang added: “The success of the 10th edition is not only a milestone but also a new beginning. In the future, AAG will further promote collaboration within the industry and GBA, support Chinese brands entering global markets, attract international exhibitors and buyers to China, and actively contribute to the internal and external circulation of commerce in the automotive industry.”
Ms Fiona Chiew, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, commented: “The 10th edition of AAG saw significant growth in the scale of exhibition, including the number of exhibitors and visitors in attendance. It highlights the all-round development of the automotive industry in southern China, which continues to demonstrate its potential for further growth and advancement. As a key exhibition for the automotive aftermarket in the region, we will continue leveraging our international resources to enhance the show’s role as a leading industry platform for business and knowledge exchange in southern China, as well as provide momentum for the industry’s development in China and abroad.”
International visitor numbers reach a record-high and gathered exhibitors from across the entire supply chain
This year’s AAG had an increase in overseas visitors in comparison with last year. Including buyer groups from Southeast Asia, Central Asia, and the Middle East, the exhibition received 50,451 visitors from 89 countries and regions, marking a growth of 18 percent. Among them, the top ten overseas countries and regions were: Malaysia, Yemen, Vietnam, India, South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Pakistan, and Uzbekistan (in descending order).
Ms Bee Choo Lim, President of Automotive Accessories Traders Association of Malaysia, said: “This was my first time at AAG, representing my company and our association to explore the latest aftermarket products and technologies. Previously, Malaysia struggled with a mature automotive customisation ecosystem due to policy restrictions, but Chinese corporations now offer many innovative opportunities. Therefore, we hope to organise a Malaysian delegation to participate in the exhibition in the future.”
Mr Singwai Ma, Vice President of the Hong Kong Commercial Vehicle Maintenance Association, commented: “Each year, we turn to AAG for potential suppliers, and the results are remarkable. The exhibition covers the entire industry chain, focusing on parts, components and customisation products, helping us efficiently locate the technologies we need. We will continue to attend and support the development of the GBA.”
Mr Mo Liu, Executive Deputy General Manager of Guangzhou Nidec Automotive Drive System Co Ltd, said: “AAG offers a wide variety of product showcases and suppliers, making it an outstanding platform for procuring parts, learning about new technologies, and finding potential partners. This year, we focused on generators and thermal management systems, establishing relationships with several companies. We will continue to visit the exhibition to discover more opportunities to optimise our supply chain.”
Mr Polanco Coello Jorge Ivan, Marketing Manager of Triple A Trading, remarked: “I attended AAG seeking engine sensors and water pumps, and discovered that it comprehensively covered the product categories I needed. The business matching sessions were very helpful, allowing me to engage with six exhibitors that matched my requirements, leading to in-depth discussions essential for business cooperation.”
The exhibition brought a total of 1,781 exhibitors to the Poly World Trade Expo Center. The Parts & Components and Electrical & Electronic Systems sectors covered Halls B1, 1, 3, 5, and 6 with more than 1,200 exhibitors showcasing the latest technological advancements and extensive product innovations, many of which highlighted the industry’s shift towards new energy vehicle development. In this regard, over 350 companies featured new energy-related products. The Longquan pavilion was a particular highlight with a clear focus on new energy vehicle thermal management.”
Mr Wei Zhou, Deputy General Manager of EVEN Co Ltd, said: “AAG is a highly influential platform in the automotive aftermarket. This year marked our debut, showcasing our innovative air springs and rubber products for commercial and passenger vehicles. We look forward to building deeper connections with industry partners at next year’s exhibition, expanding in southern China, and accelerating our overseas business development.”
Mr Chuyang Chen, Deputy General Manager of Yibin Jiyon Carbon Co Ltd, commented: “Our key exhibit is carbon-ceramic brake disc technology for new energy and high-performance vehicles. It is great to connect with major original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), as building these relationships has been challenging elsewhere. AAG’s reach in Southeast Asia has helped us link up with a key market we are focusing on.”
Mr Weiqiang Wang, Sales Manager of Zhejiang Kaidi Automotive Parts Industry Co Ltd, said: “We have received great results from the show, with professional visitors that have clear intentions to cooperate. AAG has brought together a wealth of high-quality procurement contacts and industry information, providing us with rare opportunities for brand promotion and business expansion. We hope to connect with even more international customers next year and develop our partnerships.”
Ms Zhanling Chen, Chairwoman of Shandong Alltour Automotive Co Ltd, stated: “AAG provides us with an efficient platform to connect with upstream and downstream enterprises. Next year, we will focus on accessories for commercial NEVs and look forward to expanding our brand influence by engaging with OEMs and tier one suppliers. In the GBA region, AAG is essential for integrating into the regional supply chain and accessing the latest technological developments.”
Mr Aiping Li, Manager of Zhejiang Santian A/C Compressor Co Ltd, said: “Our company has participated in AAG for ten consecutive years. It has helped us reach more overseas small and medium-sized corporations, strengthening the influence of our products globally. The exhibition helps us connect with high-quality contacts within the automotive parts sector through its professional organisation and service, which has generated a number of potential leads and opportunities for cooperation.”
There was also a significant rise of participation from companies specialising in accessories and customising and driving services with more than 500 exhibitors in Halls 2 and 4. It spotlighted the market’s diversification and emerging user scenarios.
Mr Siwei He, Sales Manager of Ningbo Jinbo Auto Parts Group Co Ltd mentioned: “AAG is an annual event for the customisation sector. The fair gathers visitors who can provide direct market feedback. We launched a range of performance enhancement products, such as shock absorbers and air suspension systems. Through the exhibition, we hope to further capture trends in the market, build long-term cooperation with dealers and customising shops across different regions, as well as explore the potential of the automotive aftermarket.”
Ms Yuxia Cheng, Marketing Manager of Dongfeng Castrol Oil Products Co Ltd, commented: “The show highlighted the diversity and demand of the customisation market. We will continue to showcase our passenger car and commercial vehicle lubricants in the next edition. By leveraging AAG’s strong influence, which brings widely recognised brands together, we aim to further our distribution network in southern China and Southeast Asia. The exhibition generates orders and offers a valuable opportunity to optimise our product portfolio through feedback from visitors.”
Mr Yuhang Guo, General Manager of Changzhou Yuhang Automotive Accessories Co Ltd, said: “We brought our independently developed exterior accessories to this edition’s AAG, including roof racks, pedals, bumpers, and rear wings. Our quality and innovation solutions are tailored for OEMs and the aftermarket. In the future, we will focus on exterior accessories and look to enhance our R&D and service capabilities to create greater value for our customers.”
Mr Tao Liang, Sales/Product Director of Guangzhou Lihong Automotive Technology Co Ltd commented: “AAG helped us to build brand awareness, develop new customer networks, and strengthen relationships with our existing clients. The organisers did a good job in attracting the right type of visitors to the show, which enabled us to connect with potential customers from different regions and sectors. Its location is also advantageous as the customisation market and automotive culture in Guangdong is strong. We look forward to participating in industry trade shows like this in the future.”
A compelling line-up of special events at the 10th edition of AAG
There was a clear celebration of the 10th edition of AAG across several events during the three-day show. Among them, an artwork installation entitled “Power Heart of GBA” was an abstract representation of sustainability in the future. It is created from discarded automotive parts, blending the craftsmanship of mechanical elements with a subtle reflection on sustainability, remanufacturing, resource recycling, and environmental protection. The AAG History Gallery reflected upon the show through the past decade, with four chapters – breakthrough, collaboration, reconstruction, and vision for the future – offering participants an immersive experience, which drew parallels between the growth of the industry and the exhibition. A Treasure Hunt effectively boosted participant engagement, enhancing the experience for both exhibitors and visitors.
In addition, 30 concurrent fringe events brought together industry leaders sharing their expertise on finished vehicles, parts and components, intelligent connectivity, accessories and customising, driving services and more.
Notable highlights included the 17th China (Guangzhou) Automotive Parts Technology Conference, the Going Global Summit Forum for Chinese Automotive Parts Enterprises 2025, the Automotive Dealers’ Vehicle Trade-in Operational Empowerment Conference – South China session, and the Guangzhou International Automotive Aftermarket Development Conference 2025.
Mr Liang Chang, a speaker at the Automotive Dealers’ Vehicle Trade-in Operational Empowerment Conference – South China session and the Deputy Secretary-General of the Data Application and Consumer Research Committee of the China Automobile Dealers Association (CADA), noted: “Going global is of great significance for both dealers and OEMs. Benefitting from China’s unique advantage of a complete automotive supply chain, AAG offers dealers more sourcing options for parts and creates a bridge to combine conference and exhibition functions together, as well as more inspiration and new thinking the workshop shared with dealers.”
