Transformation

The automotive industry is undergoing a profound transformation. Topics such as e-mobility, increasing digitalization, artificial intelligence and supply chain are playing an ever greater role.

"We are incorporating the technological changes, e.g. the electrification of automobiles, into our software solutions and offer real added value through telematics data, for example. For us, the essential innovation lies in connecting all technologies and using artificial intelligence to simplify and accelerate processes.”

Helmut Eifert, DAT Managing Director Innovations and Foreign Countries

"With a new Sustainability Concept, we are helping repair businesses to operate profitably in the long term: with efficient processes, energy-saving products and digital tools, they can significantly increase their profitability and at the same time make a contribution to greater sustainability."

Jochen Kleemann

“The automotive industry has never stood still, but is changing at a rapid pace every year and we are keeping up with this change. Our tools are becoming lighter and we also offer innovative software solutions.”

Jürgen Braun, Sales/Technical Manager DACH Celette

“As all newly registered vehicles will be equipped with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) from April 2024, workshops will increasingly have to calibrate ADAS systems. Together with our partner AUTEL, we offer the expertise as well as online and offline diagnostics and corresponding calibration systems. This enables workshops to carry out the calibration themselves and eliminates the need for transport to other companies.”

Holger Drewing, Managing Partner Herth+Buss Fahrzeugteile GmbH & Co. KG

“In the collision repair industry, innovation is the driving force of transformation. At Axalta we always strive to help our customers to work smarter and more efficiently, paving the road to a more profitable and sustainable future. For example, we recently introduced a fully automated and hands-free mixing machine for the automotive refinish industry.”

Bart de Groof, Segment Marketing Sr. Director, Global Refinish Axalta Coating Systems

For the second time, eBay is presenting itself together with partners in the E-Commerce Networking Lounge hosted by eBay

E-commerce in the automotive aftermarket is growing. More and more companies are turning to digital solutions to optimise their procurement processes. Digital platforms are attractive for manufacturers, wholesalers and workshops alike: they not only simplify order processing, but also help to reduce costs and optimise warehousing.

In the E-Commerce Lounge hosted by Ebay in the Festhalle, you will find various players from the online retail and e-commerce sector. As part of the lecture programme, you will learn from experts how to get started in online retail or how to optimise existing activities. Current trends such as D2C (direct-to-consumer), remanufacturing and process automation will also be presented and discussed.

Supply Chain Management: Future of the Automotive Aftermarket

Supply Chain Management

Structural change in the mobility and automotive industry and also in the aftermarket is progressing rapidly, influenced by changes in procurement and sales markets, new technologies and competitors. This affects all suppliers and users of spare parts, trade, service and repair, as the availability of spare parts and service quality is crucial for competition. Traditional supply relationships are under pressure and require adjustments. Digitalisation, automation, new services and innovative business models offer solutions based on the principles of GREEN, LEAN and SMART.
