Automechanika Istanbul: Turkey’s Leader International Automobile Industry Fair

Automechanika Istanbul Opens on April 6

Organized by the collaboration of Messe Frankfurt Istanbul International Fair Organisation Co. Ltd. and Hannover Fairs Turkey Fair Organisation Inc., Automechanika Istanbul 2017, brings together over 1200 participants from 33 countries with sector professionals between April 6-9. Thanks to Turkey’s location, the Fair shines out as the most important international trade platform of the region for all domestic and foreign firms who aim at investing neighboring countries’ market. Automechanika Istanbul is the 3. largest fair of the automotive industry after Frankfurt and Shanghai thanks to intense interest it draws from domestic as well as foreign firms in the recent years.

Everything about automobile world in one place

In Automechanika Istanbul, which will be held in 13 Halls in total, visitors can easily locate the products and firms they are looking for in 7 special sections as, Parts and Systems, Repair and Maintenance, Oil, Accumulator, Accessory, Reifen Rim and Tire, Hand Tolls, Auto Washing and Truck Competence.

In addition, the “E-mobility and Future Technologies”, which is organized for the first time this year, will be the meeting point for stunning innovations about mobility and future technologies. In the special exhibition and forum area organized at the 7th Hall, Automotive key industry, suppliers and new entrepreneurs will exhibit works on alternative driving systems, autonomous driving, future fleet management, smart charging stations, data management and alternative fuel technologies. Exciting developments on areas of remote maintenance, tele diagnostic, battery and accumulator will be discussed and presentations will take place.

Procurement Committee support from Ministry of Economics for Automechanika Istanbul

Automechanika İstanbul will bring together sector professionals form various countries, in particular from Europe, Middle East, North Africa and CIS countries. Automechanika Istanbul will organize

Procurement Committee Program also this year with the support of Ministry of Economics. Many Procurement Committees from Europe, Middle East and Africa region will be welcomed in the program and the participating firms will have the chance to arrange new business agreements by coming together with international purchasers. Within the context of Procurement Committee program, purchasers from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Algeria, Czech Republic, Morocco, Palestine, Serbia, Tunisia and Greece will visit the fair. Besides foreign committees, over 100 Anatolian committees form all over Turkey will visit the fair as a result of collaboration with institutions like Industry and Trade Chambers, Trade Associations, Federations etc.

Automechanika Academy in 2017 with enriched content

Automechanika Istanbul 2017 will continue to impress with its events as well as exhibited products and services. In the context of Automechanika Academy, which will be held simultaneously with the fair, various seminars, ateliers and events will be organized. Seminars will be organized on “Automotive after sale trends until 2030” by OSS, “Future Accumulator Technologies” by AKÜDER, “Automotive Maintenance Sector and Future Vision in Turkey” by TOBFED. In addition, at the ateliers which will be held in 12th and 14th Halls,

subjects such as dismantling wheels, tire repair, equipped mobile car applications, basic bonnet training, heavy vehicle axle shaft measuring and balance training, paint protection, ceramic coating, foil coating, scratch repair, water recycling project will be discussed and Auto Washing Training will be organized by TOBFED outdoors.

“Smart and Low Carbon Vehicle Technologies Clustering Atelier” will be organized at the e-Mobility Forum at Hall 7. In addition, in the context of İTÜ Arı Kent Special Session, new energy technologies in electric cars, autonomous vehicles, productivity in design and energy; in the context of TEHAD Special Session, mobility solutions and smart transportation applications; in the context of FM Consulting Special session, successful business development strategies in Turkey’s market will be discussed. Also, TAYSAD 20.000 Career Special Session will focus on career opportunities in the automotive sector.

Impressive events at Automechanika Istanbul

Various events and activities will be at the service of the fair visitors also this year. Besides commercial vehicle models produced by İsmail Erzurumluoğlu, live performance of automobile drawings by painter and illustration artist Osman Arık will be on display for the fair visitors. A Formula 1 simulator, an airplane simulator rotating 360 degrees and a rally simulator will make sure the visitors will enjoy the fair.

The first domestic racing automobile, Volkicar designed by Volkan Işık to show the power of Turkish automotive industry and Volkicar simulator will also be presented at Automechanika. Moreover, during the fair we will be watching a great live performance by ES Garage, one of the leading workshops of Turkey. During 4 days, a 1987 model M3 sports car will be restored using the parts produced by exhibitors and ES Garage. The largest fleet operator company of Turkey, Intercity will be waiting for you with a Porsche GT3 and Caterham racecars. A retrospective focus on the Turkish rally history, Retro Rally Exhibition will be located in Automechanika Istanbul 2017. With the contribution of Classic Automobile Club, Automechanika Istanbul will host the automobiles which have witnessed automobile history and we can rarely see in the streets. Anyone interested in motorsports can have information from the TOSFED stand on how to get license and trainings and seminars.
