20th Automechanika from 16 to 21 September 2008
In focus at the fair: the impact of global warming on the parts market, workshops, filling stations and their service offers Messe Frankfurt expects over 4,600 exhibitors and around 160,000 trade visitors to attend the 20th Automechanika in 2008. Since making its debut in 1971, the Automechanika has developed into one of the most important meeting places for decision makers from the automobile sector. The main theme of this year's fair: global warming and its impact on the automotive aftermarket. What is the significance of the latest innovations in the fields of emissions protection and CO2 reduction for the parts market? What recommendations does the sector have for workshops, filling stations and their service offers? At the fair, visitors will find, for example, a 'Green Directory' that draws attention to products distinguished by energy and material efficiency or advances in emissions protection. At the Automechanika Academy, too, experts will discuss the reaction of the trade to demands for CO2 reductions. The Automechanika is a well-known brand, and not just in Frankfurt. Outside Germany, too, it is an important source of impulses for the latest technologies and is held worldwide at twelve venues on three continents. Three new events made their debut last year alone: Automechanika Moscow in Moscow from 13 to 16 May 2007, Automechanika Canada in Toronto from 26 to 28 September 2007 and Automechanika Roma, from 31 January to 2 February 2008. |
