Zentralverband Karosserie und Fahrzeugtechnik e. V. (ZKF) (German Association for Motor Trades and Repairs)
For the first time the German Association for Motor Trades and Repairs (ZKF) will be represented in the central exhibition area for bodywork and paintwork repair and damage management in Hall 9.2. Exhibitors will be showing innovative products from the accident repair segment at the ZKF joint stand. The firm of Akzo Nobel will be there, for example, to demonstrate their new process: using water transfer printing they achieve special paint effects which look like walnut or other figuring. Additionally the ZKF will be offering comprehensive information about training for bodywork specialists and vehicle builders.

Master craftsmen's schools in the frame
A career in vehicle paintwork and spraying starts with a certified training programme. Whether an outline design or an actual implementation – the presentations of the master craftsmen trainees promise a broad spectrum of experimental designs, spectacle and craftsmanship.

BBZ Berufsbildungszentrum der Handwerkskammer Arnsberg (Vocational Training Centre of the Chamber of Crafts in Arnsberg)
The vocational training centre of the Chamber of Crafts will put on show the body shell of a motor vehicle to demonstrate the individual stages of the paint process from undercoat to finishing coat. The exhibitors will deliberately avoid a complete paint job, in order to make clear which material is concerned, whether aluminium, iron or plastic, since, in the end, they all receive different treatments. A variety of signage and special painting effects will demonstrate the wide variety of design possibilities available to craftsmen in this field.
At the same time this "bare" shell also shows that there is more to the craft of the vehicle paint-shop specialist than paintwork. There is also the bodywork; dents need to be flattened, rust patches filled and sanded.

Gewerbliche Schule für Farben und Gestaltung, Stuttgart (Academy for colour and design in Stuttgart)
The Academy for Colour and Design in Stuttgart will be showing its project study with the title "Blue in Blue". The three aims of the project can be clearly seen: the creation of a differentiated colour design with specific colour relationships, the application of an external colour design to an actual vehicle and the aesthetic message which emerges from the reciprocal relationship between design, experimentation with colour and realisation.

Meisterschule für Handwerker, Kaiserslautern (Master school for craftsmen in Kaiserslautern)
The vocational students and those aspiring to become master craftsmen at the master school for craftsmen in Kaiserslautern will be exhibiting their designer time-pieces in lacquered materials such as wood, glass and stone.

Fahrzeugakademie Schweinfurt, Meisterschule für Karosseriebau (Motor Vehicle Academy in Schweinfurt – Master school for body makers)
The motor vehicle academy in Schweinfurt, the master school for body makers, will be giving practical demonstrations on the restoration of classic cars. These will include traditional skills such as body-soldering and working with the wheeling machine to shape panels. Techniques will be demonstrated on a partially restored vehicle.
