Tomorrow’s Service & Mobility 2016

Tomorrows service and mobility

The ‘Festhalle’ will be the hotspot for innovations at this year’s Automechanika Frankfurt with the subject of ‘Tomorrow’s Service & Mobility’.
Here, car manufacturers, suppliers and start-ups will be presenting pioneering products and solutions, including from the fields of alternative drive systems, automated driving and mobility services. There have also been exciting technological developments in remote maintenance, telediagnostics and battery technology. Visitors will even be able to take a look at the Workshop of the Future.

Young companies and start-ups
The ‘Festhalle’ is also a presentation platform for young trailblazers and pioneers where creative start-ups and young innovative companies from Germany can show their promising ideas, products and solutions in a pavilion sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy (Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie – BMWi).

Automechanika Innovation Award
There will be additional innovations from all product areas on display at the special showcase for the Automechanika Innovation Award in the Festhalle. This prestigious award is given in eight categories for solutions that are particularly promising and sustainable.

The ‘yourmove’ initiative presents the ‘Cuno Bistram project’ on Stand 2.0 A50. Two modern replicas have already been built, one of them an elegant electric racing car. At the fair, visitors will be able to see young people in the process of building a hybrid Cuno Bistram racing car under expert supervision.

E-Park Parcours on the outdoor area
Visitors wanting to experience the tomorrow’s mobility will have the opportunity to test drive a variety of electric vehicles on a special track on the adjoining outdoor area.

Automechanika Academy in the Festhalle
Interesting presentations and panel discussions will be taking place as part of special theme days at the Automechanika Academy in the Festhalle. On 13 September, everything will revolve around future mobility, on 14 September a roster of recognised experts will discuss alternative drive systems, and on 16 September you will be able to find out more about virtual worlds in the automotive industry and share expertise.
